SERVICES

38Bravo Core Services:

• Street outreach & engagement:

We meet people where they are on the street, in encampments, vehicles, or transitional spaces. Outreach is relationship-based, not transactional. The goal is to establish trust, dignity, and sustained contact, particularly with veterans and community members who may be hesitant to engage with traditional systems.

• Resource navigation & referrals:

We help individuals understand what services exist, which ones fit their situation, and how to access them. This includes shelters, warming centers, food programs, medical care, mental health services, substance-use treatment, and housing resources. We reduce confusion, wasted trips, and system fatigue.

• Veteran & first responder advocacy:

We advocate on behalf of veterans and their families who often fall through gaps due to paperwork, trauma, or system complexity. This includes helping them re-engage with VA services, benefits, and veteran-specific programs, while ensuring they are treated with respect and understanding.

• Care coordination between nonprofits & agencies:

38Bravo acts as a liaison, not a silo. We coordinate communication between shelters, nonprofits, faith-based groups, medical providers, law enforcement, and government agencies to ensure services are aligned and not duplicated. This creates continuity instead of hand-offs.

• Emergency basic-needs support:

We provide immediate, practical support when it removes a barrier to stability, such as clothing, shoes, hygiene kits, food, or weather-appropriate gear and shelter. These are not handouts; they are tools that allow someone to safely access services or survive until help is secured.

• Medical/Financial training coordination (partner-based):

We coordinate and connect partners to deliver basic lifesaving training, such as CPR, first aid, bleeding control, and AED awareness, along with informative classes on VA Disability services and VA mortgage counseling. 38Bravo does not replace medical providers; we strengthen community readiness.

• Community events & support missions:

We organize and support events that build trust and community, such as BBQs, outreach days, supply distributions, training events, and partner-led initiatives. These missions reduce isolation, strengthen relationships, and create safe entry points into longer-term support systems.

• Follow-up & continuity of care:

We don’t disappear after a referral. When possible, we follow up to ensure connections were made, barriers were addressed, and the individual understands the next steps. This continuity is critical for populations with trauma, distrust of systems, or repeated service failures.
